I Ride the Bus

I do not own a car. Walking and taking the bus are my transportation system. I love taking the bus. The bus is a place where North Adams uniquely comes together to share their daily journeys. I meet people and hear their stories about the history of North Adams and their lives here. I learn how helpful people are when I miss my stop and the entire bus works to help me figure out how to get to where I am going. I travel through neighborhoods that I might not otherwise visit. I hear the bus driver speak to passengers by name and ask about details of their lives. Riding the bus has taught me that North Adams is a place where daily experiences can bring you joy.
